Boateng is in the right place to kick on with his career

HIRAM Boateng believes his younger brother Malachi is in 'the right place at the right time' after his strong start to the season with Plymouth Argyle.
The Sky-televised Devon derby between Argyle and Exeter City at St James Park tonight will give 29-year-old Hiram, who played for both clubs earlier in his career, an opportunity to watch Malachi, aged 23, in action on his TV at home.
Malachi has been arguably the Pilgrims' most consistent player during what has been an up-and-down start to the season for them and his older brother has been following his fortunes from afar.
Hiram is now playing for York City in the National League and with the 72nd Football League meeting between Argyle and Exeter taking place tonight being live on TV it means he can watch it, whereas had it been on a Saturday he would have missed it.
Malachi joined Argyle from Scottish Premiership side Hearts at the end of the 2025 winter transfer window and struggled to get game time under Miron Muslic over the rest of the season as they were relegated from the Championship. However, this term, the central midfielder has started all 12 League One games for the Pilgrims and has flourished with Tom Cleverley as his head coach.
