IT IS all set for a big National One Showdown this weekend, as Plymouth Albion head to the nation’s capital to take on high-flying Blackheath.

- By PABLO CHEEKS Rugby Union correspondent

Albion will be keen to get back to the pitch after a well-deserved week off, heading straight into a fixture against fellow promotion contenders Blackheath, giving the fixture plenty of significance.

In fact, the next three games are shaping up as a crucial barometer of Albion's ambitions and Blackheath, Rams and Rotherham Titans’ current credentials, all teams in the top five playing Albion throughout November.

Albion make the trip to Blackheath, with a strong early season showing under head coach Ryan Lamb. Albion's intent was made clear over the summer, a push for as high a finish as possible and ideally a promotion challenge. Blackheath meanwhile are one of the more established clubs in National One and will be equally motivated to show they remain genuine contenders and continue to deliver week after week.
