CANCER PATIENT TOLD SHE HAS ONLY MONTHS TO LIVE

Aimee Sumner and her husband, Dan, who she describes as 'her rock'
AT just 30 years old, Aimee Sumner was told she had stage four cancer. Seven years later, she’s been given four to six months to live - but instead of giving in, she’s making every remaining moment count.
“I want quality over quantity,” Aimee, who lives in Plymouth, says. “I don’t want the last months of my life to be spent unwell. I want to enjoy what I have left.”
Amiee’s story is not one of tragedy, although there’s been no shortage of heartbreak. It’s a story of choice, love, resilience, and the quiet, determined pursuit of joy.
Diagnosed in April 2018 with Primary Peritoneal Cancer - a rare and aggressive form of the disease - she’s since weathered relentless rounds of chemotherapy, undergone life-changing surgery, and watched her mother pass away from cancer just six months after receiving her own diagnosis.
