Eurovision changes voting rules after protests over Israeli success
The Guardian
|November 22, 2025
Eurovision is changing its rules around promotion and voting after broadcasters raised concerns about Israel’s runner-up spot this year.

This led to the Irish broadcaster RTÉ asking for a breakdown in voting numbers from the European Broadcasting Union, which runs the event.
Spain’s public broadcaster, Radio Television Espanola, called for a “complete review” of the system to avoid “external interference”.
