Kupwara Police Detains Repeat Offender Under PIT NDPS Act-Lodged in District Jail Udhampur

In its ongoing crusade against drug trafficking and consistent with its zero-tolerance policy towards narcotics, Kupwara Police has detained a habitual drug peddler under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act, 1988.
The individual, Mohd Azam Chowker, son of Mohd Ismail Chowker, a resident of Nawagabra, Karnah, District Kupwara, has been detained for his continued involvement in the drug trade.
He was previously booked in FIR No. 47/2022 under Sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Karnah.
