MODI'S HISTORIC INAUGURATION WRITES A NEW CHAPTER In India's INFRASTRUCTURE HISTORY

On a date that would be etched in the history of Indian engineering, on June 6, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened India's tallest railway bridge. Towering high over the raging waters of the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir, this engineering wonder does not just link two places on a map, it bridges dreams to reality, touching the very horizon of the sky itself.
Standing proudly at a stunning height of 359 meters over the river bed, Chenab Bridge reaches out directly into the heavens, deserving its literary moniker as "the way that speaks to skies." To put this steel giant into perspective, it stands taller than the symbolic Eiffel Tower at 324 meters, coming almost five times higher than Delhi's Qutub Minar. As trains pass over this engineering wonder, the passengers will be as if they are floating in clouds, while the untamed Himalayan scenery spreads out before them like a canvas of life painted by nature herself.
The enormity of the bridge set against the majestic backdrop of the mountains of Kashmir is otherworldly in that it seems to talk to the heavens themselves. Trains that traverse along this aerial route seem to be dancing between heaven and earth, and therefore the bridge is not merely a way for transport but an odyssey of body and soul ascending in piety to the boundless heaven above.
June 6, 2025, inauguration day was what Prime Minister Modi termed as a "special day for the people of Jammu and Kashmir." It was not just an inauguration of yet another infrastructure complex, but the culmination of decades of vision, determination and unbreakable commitment to connect Kashmir to the rest of India through an unbreakable steel lifeline.
