ROB Edwards was relieved that Middlesbrough left Sheffield Wednesday with another win under their belts, conceding his team had made life harder for themselves by not being clinical enough.

Edwards reflected: "It wasn't straightforward because we didn't get the second goal. We had numerous chances, and then there was the penalty shout, which is just a penalty, but because we didn’t get the goal, it gave them oxygen and belief.

“This team have got something about them and they don't give in. Everything that’s going on at the moment, if any team had an excuse to go under, it would be them. But they don't. They show a lot of fight and resilience and it was never going to be easy.
