VAR still not performing as it should, says Iraola

BOURNEMOUTH boss Andoni Iraola believes Evanilson's overturned red card shows the VAR system still is not working as it should.

The Cherries striker was sent off in the second half of last weekend's 1-1 draw with Manchester United after referee Peter Bankes - who had originally awarded a yellow card for a challenge on Noussair Mazraoui - was instructed to take a second look and changed his decision to red.
However, Evanilson is available for today's Premier League trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal after a successful appeal.
Iraola said: “For me it's clear that the system is not working very well, the process, because the ref takes the decision, he sees it live, he decides it's a foul, yellow card.
