Plaque marks support for community grocery store

A commemorative plaque has been unveiled at a Teesside community grocery store which has provided a lifeline to families struggling to put food on the table.
The South Bank Community Grocery was launched in April this year and is already proving a hit with residents. The Normanby Road store offers members the chance to buy affordable food and save £20 per shop.
Anyone can become a member by signing up for an annual membership in store, which costs £5. Then shoppers can select the size of the shop in store: Standard shop (12 items) - £5; Medium shop (18 items) - £7.50; Large shop (24 items) £10; Extra Large shop (30 items) - £12.50.
