Mohawks Wired for big victory

TEES Valley Mohawks men put in a solid team performance with a comfortable 89-43 victory over Cheshire Wire to keep the pressure on the league leaders.

The Mohawks enjoyed a big win over Cheshire Wire

A slow start out of the blocks saw Mohawks losing the first five minutes 15-6 but a timeout from coach Steve Butler reenergised them and from then on played some really good team basketball, dominating the game.

Jamie Glen impressed on his debut with 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocks but coach Butler was impressed with the whole team performance.

He said: “Today we rested Cam [Schainfeld] due to his wrist injury and I was able to rotate the whole bench and see different lineups and how they work, trying to give every player at least 20 minutes and resting our players who've had some niggling injuries.
