Malanda back after loan spell in USA

ADILSON Malanda is officially on Teesside and will begin work at the club this week, as he builds towards his Middlesbrough debut.

A club video on social media on Sunday showed the French defender arriving in England and being met by club officials, who accompanied him back to Rockliffe.
Malanda joined the club in a deal worth around £6 million in the summer, but was loaned back to MLS side Charlotte for the remainder of their season.
With Charlotte's campaign ending last month in the first round of the playoffs, Malanda’s three-year spell in North Carolina came to an end.
However, it was always the case that the 24-year-old is ineligible to play for Boro until January, when the EFL registration window reopens.
