Magic moment or DELaying the inevitable?

DELANO Burgzorg's late winner at West Brom could prove to be a huge moment in Middlesbrough's season.

Earning Boro a crucial three points when it looked like they'd just thrown away two, it kept Kim Hellberg's side second in the Championship as they aim to stay firmly in the battle for an automatic promotion spot amid Ipswich Town's charge.

As for Burgzorg himself, it was clear how much it meant to him. His finger went in a silencing motion to his lips amid speculation that links him with a move away from Boro this month, with Bristol City showing interest.

As the dust settled on a magical and euphoric moment, the big question of Burgzorg is whether that will be the goal that saves his Boro career. Or was it the sweetest of goodbyes?

The suggestions are that Burgzorg would prefer to stay at the Riverside. City boss Gerhard Struber hinted as much when asked about the Boro man recently, insisting that above all else, players committed to playing for the Robins was what they needed this month.

But, with Boro already boosting forward options thanks to the arrival of Leo Castledine - while hoping to, ideally, add Jeremy Sarmiento and another striker this month - it's fair to say the landscape is not looking favourable for Burgzorg.
