Glowing praise for Edwards

MIDDLESBROUGH have been given a glowing recommendation of their potential next head coach Rob Edwards by Italian goalkeeping hero Walter Zenga.

The duo worked together at Wolves in 2016, when Zenga took over at Molineux, and became an important part of the Italian's backroom staff.
The 42-year-old is now said to be a leading candidate in the race to replace Michael Carrick as the next Middlesbrough manager, with Edwards reportedly one of several high profile coaches the club have spoken to in recent weeks.
Boro are on the lookout for someone to help fulfil their Premier League promotion ambitions, with the likes of Danny Rohl, Steve Cooper and Steven Gerrard all linked with the Riverside vacancy.
