Drink-driver ploughed into family's new car

A DAD was left with a broken wrist and a brand new car written off after a drink-driver ploughed into his Kia as he went to get fish and chips for his family.

Dad-of-four Wayne Raynor said the shocking smash could have been much worse and dreads to think what could have happened had he taken his 14-year-old daughter with him like she'd asked.

The 41-year-old labourer spoke of the ordeal after Tracey Mackey appeared in court last week, where she admitted driving with alcohol above the limit and dangerous driving.
