Double celebration for animal-loving couple

NEW SHOP SET TO OPEN AFTER NEWS OF CANCER REMISSION

DOG-LOVING grandparents Mark and Debbie Jordan have a double cause for celebration.

They have just opened their Paws & Treats pet shop in Middlesbrough’s Dundas Indoor Market and last month, Debbie was told she was in remission after a cancer scare.

“The shop is ideal for me,” said 53-year-old Debbie, who has worked in retail most of her adult life. “It will keep my mind busy and it will be great for my well-being.”

It also means the living room at the couple’s house in Ormesby will stop looking like a warehouse.

It was used to store the pet food and treats, bowls and beds Mark delivered to customers when Paws & Treats was just a mobile business.
