FRENCH NATIONAL EDWIN TAHA WAS CONVICTED OF DRUG OFFENCES IN 2024

- By POPPY KENNEDY poppy.kennedy@reachplc.com @ReporterPoppy

A DRUG-dealing dad previously jailed for a 'pepper spray' attack on much-loved Luke Jobson has been deported again.

French national Edwin Taha was locked up last year after admitting a raft of serious offences including breaching a deportation order and dealing cocaine.

The Gazette understands the 25-year-old was deported for the second time on November 10.

The Home Office has said any breaches of deportation orders are taken seriously.

As previously reported, Taha was jailed for five years and nine months in November 2024. Taha was originally deported after being convicted of affray in an incident before the death of Luke Jobson.

In 2019, Luke's body was found in the River Tees after he became involved in a dispute with a gang outside The Keys nightclub, in Yarm, before being chased towards Yarm School.
