Boro's Sol man is all set to be named new No1
The Gazette

MIDDLESBROUGH look set to put their faith in Sol Brynn next season as they anticipate being disappointed in their desire to sign Mark Travers permanently.

Travers spent the second half of the season on loan at Boro from Bournemouth and impressed in what was an otherwise disappointing spell for Michael Carrick’s side. There had been hope to sign Travers permanently at the end of the loan spell.
However, Boro officials are now expecting to be disappointed in their pursuit to sign the Irish international.
Conversations around the potential for a summer move led to indications that Bournemouth will demand a big transfer fee this summer, while the keeper's Premier League wages are also a factor in a summer in which Boro have many other priorities. He is said to have ‘lucrative’ options already.
Instead, Boro look set to give their backing to academy graduate Brynn, who is expected to be fit to resume full training at the start of pre-season next month. Travers’ January arrival ultimately came due to injuries to Brynn and Seny Dieng.
