Boro are well set for tricky challenge

ROB Edwards has offered a detailed insight into Middlesbrough’s preparation for tonight’s trip to Leicester City - with the Boro boss using limited time post-Watford defeat to focus on how his side improve.

- By CRAIG JOHNS

With limited time in between games, Edwards can’t afford to overwork his players on the training pitches. Instead, Sunday was a recovery day for players at Rockliffe, with the afternoon spent in the analysis room, going over clips of the Watford game and highlighting to the players where they must be better.

Edwards explained: “You can dissect the life out of it, but the bottom line, we've got to be better in a couple of areas at the top end; we have to. And then, probably for the first time this season, we've not defended as well as we have done in a couple of moments.

“We've had a good couple of days with the lads going over it. We were in Sunday, good recovery day, good meeting where it was productive to show areas we need to improve. We did some work, fairly lightly, out there on the grass today [Monday], and hopefully we can put that into practice tomorrow. The meeting that we had was I think productive and hopefully it lands.

“The lads are a really honest group and they're always trying to do what's right.
