Where did Gwen go wrong?

But she exceeded the limits of a Theory X leader. She hurt a lot of people and was driven to a delusion of invincibility. I used to call her the Dragon Lady because she was authoritative and passionate. But she overdid it to the point of self-deception.

Given today's changing political landscapes, Gwen opted to support BBM and abandoned the Dutertes. She is now facing the consequences. All the Alyansa candidates for senator in Cebu suffered defeat except for Erwin Tulfo and Pia Cayetano. Cebuanos didn’t only reject BBM's senatoriables. They also ousted Gwen and installed an unknown neophyte.

Not too long ago, when GMA ousted then House Speaker Bebot Alvarez, upon the instigation of then Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Gwen, as deputy speaker at that time, decided to stick it out with Alvarez. She refused to heed the call of Sara. Gwen refused to support GMA despite all the past favors extended by GMA to her and to Cebu. She also reaped the bitter consequences.
