What next for Gwen Garcia?
The Freeman
|May 28, 2025
The problem with the outgoing governor was that she trusted too much the wrong mayors and believed in their "bolatik".
She allowed herself to be blinded that she was invincible. She surrounded herself with underlings who are all "yes men" who dared not contradict her. She created her own monsters.
Now, she wakes up to find out that there is a lady who is more preferred than her. In her deep reflection Governor Gwendolyn Garcia should mark all the cities and towns she helped much and yet rejected her. She should list the mayors who led her into illusions of impossible debacle. She should have candid heart-to-heart talks with these mayors.
The Gullases should explain what happened. The most devastating debacles were suffered by Gwen in the 1st District. And the most painful heartache was in Talisay City where both the mayor and the congresswoman are allies. If we total the votes, Gwen got only 27.5% or 31,757, while Pam got a whopping 72.5% or 85,730.
