The Toong-Pardo road project

My heart warmed when I saw a Facebook post with Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival inspecting a road construction project reportedly intended to connect Barangays Toong and Pardo.

He walked sprightly, though leisurely, for quite a distance. The accompanying audio was somewhat muffled and its volume rather low. But I learned from the little I heard that he was inspecting a multi-million city road project which some residents have alleged to be a cause of recurring flooding. His professional background served him well in understanding the technical aspect of the problem. That he personally went out of his air-conditioned office to get firsthand information of the environmental side of the issue should make everybody who saw the FB post give him a thumbs-up. I did.
