Rama to serve as Pam’s “adviser”

Former Cebu City mayor Michael Rama has expressed openness to having members of his executive team serve under the administration of incoming Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro.

Rama also disclosed his willingness to serve as an adviser but not in official capacity.

In a recent visit to Cebu City Hall, Rama, who officially bid farewell to the term he won in the 2022 elections, vowed to support Baricuatro’s administration. Both Rama and Baricuatro are affiliated with PDP—Laban, with Rama serving as the party’s Visayas chairman.

Rama paid a courtesy call on acting Mayor Donaldo Hontiveros, his running mate in the recently concluded midterm elections.

In an interview, Rama revealed that Baricuatro, during a meeting with “Team Liberate Cebu,” had offered him an executive post—an offer he declined.

“I said no because I do not want even a consultancy on contract,” Rama said.

“I would only be an adviser outside if the need arises, then I will be having a meeting with her,” he added.
