Over 600 procedures done in medical-surgical mission

The Cebu Provincial Government delivered an estimated P10 million worth of free surgical procedures to its constituents during its two-day medical and surgical mission on August 16 and 17, 2025, at the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Danao City.

A total of 633 procedures were performed in the mission, which formed part of Capitol’s province-wide program in celebration of Cebu’s 456th Founding Anniversary.
The activity included 59 major surgeries, such as thyroidectomies, mastectomies, laparoscopic procedures, fracture repairs, and amputations. Six of these were orthopedic cases.
In addition, 74 minor surgeries were conducted, consisting of 65 excision procedures and nine arteriovenous fistula creations for dialysis patients.
