OBO permit required for Sinulog bleachers

With preparations underway for Sinulog 2026, the Office of the Building Official (OBO) has reminded all project owners, organizers, and contractors that securing a building permit is mandatory for the construction or installation of temporary structures intended for the festivities.
These include bleachers, booths, kiosks, platforms, and stages, whether these are erected on public roads or within private properties.
In accordance with the National Building Code of the Philippines (Presidential Decree 1096), the OBO emphasized that all permit applications must be submitted for review and approval before any construction activity begins.
