"Sugar" Shane Gentallan fought hard to secure a well-deserved unanimous decision victory over the tough as nails Arvin John Sampaga of Masbate and secure the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Asia light flyweight crown in the main event of PMI Bohol Boxing Promotions' "Kumong Bol-anon XXII" last Saturday night, September 20, at the Ubujan covered court in Tagbilaran City.

All three judges submitted a uniform score of 97-93 in favor of Gentallan, who basked in the glow of another regional title.

The 27-year-old pride of Maribojoc once reigned as World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental Youth minimumweight champion.

"Satisfied kaayo ko sa ako performance," said Gentallan after stretching his hot streak to six fights that improved his record to 13-1 with 7KOs. "Nabalik sad ako kompiyansa nga na-champion ko og balik."

PMI Boxing big boss Atty. Floriezyl Echavez-Podot, who chart Gentallan's career path, shared the same sentiment.
