Tourism executives from countries in East Asia will converge in Cebu starting Monday, July 21, 2025, for the 23rd East Asia Inter-Regional Tourism Federation (EATOF) Standing Committee Meeting.
-
The gathering is a prelude to the biennial EATOF General Assembly that the Province of Cebu is also hosting in 2026.
Rowena Lu Y. Montecillo, Cebu provincial tourism officer, said that representatives from EATOF member provinces will be here to learn and to discuss matters relating to tourism in the East Asian region, particularly on resiliency, best practices, and tourism workforce development.
“These are pressing matters in the light of the changing world climate and fast-evolving digital landscape,” said Montecillo in a Facebook post of Cebu Province Tourism Office.
