DA eyes $12.5-M for agri export support

June 13, 2026

The Department of Agriculture (DA) plans to allocate about $12.25 million to boost the country’s agricultural exports.

DA spokesperson Arnel de Mesa said the agency would provide increased funding for promotions.

He added that the DA would channel about half of its $24.5-million grant from the World Bank to fund its export promotion program.

The DA conducts its export expansion program through its Agri-Fishery Export Development and Promotion Office.

The funding will be sourced from the World Bank-funded Technical Assistance for Sustainable Agriculture Transformation (TASAT) grant.
