The Benedicto College (BC) Cheetahs and the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors passed through different roads as they kicked off their title bids on a high note in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) Season 25 basketball tournament last Sunday, September 14, at the new Cebu Coliseum.

The Cheetahs turned to the endgame heroics of Serge Gabines as they erased a 14-point deficit in the second quarter to repulse the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars, 76-74, while the Warriors were a dominant force from the get go in their 69-55 rout of the University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu Fighting Maroons.
