Stolen idols to be retrieved from abroad

A dedicated team of officials from the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and the Tamil Nadu Idol Wing Police will soon embark on a mission to Singapore, where they will submit and process crucial documents for the recovery of 16 missing idols.

Among the missing treasures is a statue of Lord Hanuman, one of the many artefacts believed to have been stolen from temples in the state. These efforts are part of a larger initiative to retrieve idols and sacred items that were taken from Tamil Nadu temples over the years and are now scattered across various countries.
