Poll rolls revision drive kicks off in Goa today

HOUSE-TO-HOUSE ENUMERATION TO BE UNDERTAKEN FINAL ROLL TO BE PUBLISHED ON FEBRUARY 7, 2026
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Goa is set to kick off with a month-long house-to-house enumeration phase from Tuesday. The coastal State has got around 11.85 lakh eligible voters as on date.
The SIR, will also commence in eight other States and three Union territories.
The last intensive revision for Goa was conducted by the Commission in the year 2002, when the total voters were around 9.27 lakhs.
Dubbed 'SIR 2.0', this sweeping exercise will culminate with the publication of final electoral rolls on February 7, 2026, before which on December 9, the draft roll will be published for necessary corrections.
