Activists have decided to challenge the report of the crime branch of Mumbai police, which has dismissed as fake the allegation of sexual molestation in an upscale school in Malad (East) in February.

One of them told the media on Monday on condition of anonymity, “It is totally absurd to say that the four-year-old child had faked her molestation. The child is innocent and has no motive to tell a lie. She had identified her molester in an identity parade referring to him as a ‘monster’. At every stage of investigation, including before the magistrate and identity parade, she had consistently identified the teacher who molested her. Two medical reports prepared soon after the incident confirmed the molestation. And yet the crime branch is saying the complaint is fake?”
