Maha Metro awards underground extension contract to Cemindia; 5.5km link to cut travel time to 15 minutes
Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) has awarded the contract for the Swargate—Katraj underground extension of the Pune Metro to Cemindia Projects Limited, formerly known as ITD Cementation India Limited.
Maha Metro officials confirmed the issuance of the contract and said a letter of engagement will be released soon. The work order is expected in November, with construction scheduled to begin by the end of 2025.
