Timeframe of one-month set for SIT report after Vigilance interim report found major lapses
The Kerala High Court has directed formation of a Special Investigation Team to examine irregularities in the gold plating of the panels at the Sabarimala temple.
The court has stipulated that a confidential report be submitted within one month and has barred public release of the investigation’s findings.
The SIT will operate under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police H Venkatesh, while Superintendent of Police S Sasidhran will head the five-member team. The court explicitly ordered that the probe remain sealed, barring any disclosure of interim or final findings.
