Harish Rao demands 85% local quota in PG medical admissions

Senior BRS leader and former Minister T Harish Rao has urged the Telangana government to implement an 85% reservation for local students in B-category (management quota) seats in postgraduate (PG) medical admissions.

In an open letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Rao expressed concern that Telangana students are being deprived of opportunities, as nearly 450 of the 1,801 PG medical seats fall under the management quota — currently without any local reservation. He demanded the cancellation of the existing PG admission notification and a new GO ensuring 85% local quota, similar to Andhra Prades
