Fire at Ghatkopar park, bldg's fire-fighting system was dead

A major fire erupted in a nine-storey commercial building, Golden Crush Business Park, near Shreyas Cinema, LBS Road, Ghatkopar, on Monday.

The incident was reported at 2.35pm, and a level two fire was declared. More than 200 people were evacuated and the blaze was doused by 6pm. The fire brigade department will issue a notice to the building owner under the Maharashtra Fire Safety and Prevention Act, as the firefighting system of the commercial building was not operational.
