Tension erupted at Sahyadri Hospital in Hadapsar on Tuesday after relatives of a deceased patient created a ruckus, alleging serious negligence by the hospital.
The situation escalated when the aggrieved family vandalised parts of the hospital premises.
According to eyewitnesses, emotions ran high soon after the patient was declared dead, with the family accusing the hospital staff of careless treatment. Police were called to the spot to bring the situation under control.
The enraged group reportedly pelted stones at the building and created chaos across the premises. A video of the incident was recorded and is now circulating widely on social media. The family of the deceased continues to accuse the hospital staff of negligence.
