Court flags proxy motives by litigants

The division bench of the Kerala High Court, which set aside a single judge’s order that had nullified the State government’s appointment of an inquiry commission in the Munambam land dispute, strongly criticised the challengers as acting on behalf of hidden interests.

The court held that petitioners who contested the formation of the commission were “masquerading” as litigants with “ulterior motives” rather than representing genuine grievances.
