₹55L aid to Pune woman disabled in bus mishap

The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Thane, has directed the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation to pay Rs55,02,772 in compensation to a Pune-based woman left permanently disabled in a 2021 state transport bus accident.
The victim, Kanchan Sham Kute, 36, suffered a 100% mobility disability after the bus overturned on the Nashik-Pune Highway near Kurali village on August 24, 2021. She had filed a claim before the Thane MACT, where MSRTC's divisional office is located.
