Vedan, speaking briefly to reporters, remarked that he had to comply with court instructions and would cooperate fully
Malayalam rapper Hirandas Murali, better known as Vedan, arrived at Thrikkakkara police station at about 9.30 am on 9 September to face questioning in a rape complaint filed by a young doctor challenging a false marriage promise.
The Kerala High Court had granted him anticipatory bail on 27 August, directing his appearance before the investigating officer between 10 am and 5 pm on both 9 and 10 September; if arrested, he would be released on bond and sureties totalling ₹1 lakh each, with conditions including no travel abroad without court permission.
