TN fishermen are sitting ducks for Lankan pirates

In pattern of mid-sea assaults on Tamil Nadu fishermen, they continue attacked by Sri Lankan ‘pirates’ in the seas, the latest being 11 fishermen from Nambiyar Nagar in Nagapattinam who came under violent assault while operating east of Kodiyakkarai on Sunday, leaving one in critical condition and others with serious injuries, authorities confirmed.
Ten men and one critically injured fisherman landed ashore in Nagapattinam early on Monday after coming under attack at sea by unidentified assailants, suspected to be Sri Lankan attackers, officials and fishermen’s associations said.
