Leopard-prone areas of Pune district are gripped by fear as human-wildlife conflicts escalate across Junnar, Ambegaon, Shirur and Khed tehsils.

Following three fatal attacks in the past month, residents of Pimparkhed village in Shirur tehsil have adopted an unusual survival tactic — wearing spiked collars around their necks to protect themselves from leopard attacks.
