Whenever Indian fast bowling is talked about, it is especially Jasprit Bumrah's workload management that gets attention, but Mohammed Siraj is rarely mentioned in this regard. The truth is, in the last two years, he has bowled the most number of overs (524) in Tests and has taken the most number of wickets after Bumrah. In the India-England series, he bowled the most overs (185.3) among both teams and took the most wickets (23). According to Cricviz, Siraj bowled 1,118 balls during 47 spells in this series. Not a single ball among these was at a speed less than 131 kmph. The decisive ball with which he got Atkinson out and helped Team India level the series was also at the speed of 143 kmph—that is, his fifth fastest ball of the series.
