PM praises Haryana for malaria control

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the Health Department of Kurukshetra district of Haryana for its efforts to control malaria in the 'Mann Ki Baat' programme.
Hailing the efforts of the health district, the Prime Minister has described the district's health department's model of spreading awareness through street plays and radio messages as inspirational for the entire country. The Prime Minister said that public participation is important for malaria prevention, and this model of Kurukshetra proves that serious health challenges can be overcome through collective efforts.
