PM Modi to unveil Rs 1.22 Lakh crore projects in Rajasthan today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Thursday inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth more than Rs. 1.22 lakh crore in Rajasthan, with a focus on bolstering the state’s infrastructure and India’s energy self-reliance. The ceremony will take place in Mahi Banswara, from where the Prime Minister will also address a public gathering.
The centrepiece of the announcements is the Rs. 42,000 crore Mahi Banswara Nuclear Power Project, billed as the largest in the country, with a capacity of 2,800 MW. The project is expected to play a key role in advancing India's ambitions of self-sufficiency in the power sector and in strengthening its green energy credentials.
