As Bihar gears up for the counting of votes on 14 November, exit polls have unanimously predicted a return to power for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), prompting the Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial candidate, Tejashwi Yadav, to allege possible manipulation in the results.
According to surveys, the NDA is projected to secure a comfortable majority in the 243-member assembly. The People’s Pulse survey forecast 133-159 seats for the NDA, 75-101 for the Mahagathbandhan, 0-5 for Jan Suraaj, and 2-8 for others. People’s Insight predicted 133-148 for the NDA, 87-102 for the opposition alliance, 0-2 for Jan Suraaj, and 3-6 for independents. The JVC survey projected 135-150 for the NDA, 88-103 for the Mahagathbandhan, and up to 6 for others, while DVC Research estimated 137-152 seats for the NDA and 83-98 for the Mahagathbandhan.
