LOTUS WILL AGAIN BLOOM IN AMETHI: SMRITI IRANI

Smriti Irani, Union Women, and Child Development Minister, recalled on Wednesday the difficult journey she undertook as a BJP worker to build a base in the Amethi constituency and beat Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha elections.

On the second day of the Manch 2023 political conclave organised by ITV Network, she slammed Congress and its first family for ignoring the welfare of the people there. “I don’t know if the BJP parliamentary board will give me the ticket to contest again from Amethi, but I am very confident that the party’s Lotus will bloom there,” she said.

She said the BJP will again win Amethi’s seat in the upcoming Loksabha election. She pointed out that “till 2019 Congress National President had never lost in Amethi, but Rahul Gandhi lost it to me in 2019.”
