The Indian Premier League (IPL) has announced the schedules for its next three seasons, marking a first in the tournament's history.

IPL announces dates for 2025-2027

The 2025 season is set to commence on March 14 and conclude with the final on May 25. The 2026 season will run from March 15 to May 31, and the 2027 season is scheduled between March 14 and May 30.

These dates, communicated to franchises via email, are expected to be finalized as the official tournament windows.

The 2025 season will feature 74 matches, maintaining the format used in the previous three editions.

This is fewer than the 84 matches initially proposed in the 2022 media rights tender for the 2023-27 cycle. The tender had outlined a progressive increase in matches: 74 for 2023 and 2024, 84 for 2025 and 2026, and up to 94 in 2027.
