INDIA OUTCLASS BANGLADESH BY 41 RUNS IN ASIA CUP CLASH
The Daily Guardian
|September 25, 2025
India produced a clinical all-round performance to beat Bangladesh by 41 runs in their Asia Cup encounter on Wednesday.
Abhishek Sharma's blazing 75 set the tone for the Men in Blue, before the bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah and Tilak Varma, defended 168/6 with conviction as Bangladesh folded for 126 in 19.3 overs.
India’s innings had two distinct phases — a rollicking start followed by a middle-order collapse. Put in to bat, the opening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill gave India a flying start. After a quiet beginning, scoring only 17 runs in the first three overs, the pair shifted gears in style. They smashed Bangladesh bowlers to all parts of the ground, racing to 72 without loss in the power-play — India’s best in the ongoing tournament.
