Haryana schoolgirls to go on statewide educational tours

There is good news for schoolgirls in Haryana. As per new Education Department orders, a batch of 300 middle school students from classes 7th, 8th, and 9th will go on educational tours to various districts of the state at one go, that is, 100 girl students from each of these classes from one district will be selected.
According to the department's notice, students will be required to score 70 percent or above in order to get selected for these tours. Further, preference will be given to those girl students who have never travelled outside their district before. The Directorate of School Education (DSE) has written a letter to all the District Education Officers (DEOs) and Elementary Education Officers (DEEOs) of the state, in which instructions have been given to conduct educational tours for girl students studying in the state's government schools.
