Haryana Amends RTS Act; Commission Can Now Act on Redressal Delays Suo Motu

Taking a big step towards ensuring timely services to its citizens, the state government has amended the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014.

As per the amendment, if the designated officer or grievance redressal authority does not decide on the application or appeal within the stipulated time period, the Right to Service Commission will be able to take suo motu cognizance in such cases.
